The first reason is a connection to the owner, Jeff Karon, whose concern with reputation began with a focus on strategy derived from the martial arts. About Jeff Karon, PhD
Jeff Karon, consultant and owner of K Strategy Consulting, focuses on reputation and brand management through strategic integration of writing, editing, design, and training while drawing on a model of honorable, powerful behavior based on the martial arts. He has trained thousands of professionals and students in educational, company, and community settings. He has presented at the international, national, state, and local levels, and is an experienced researcher, editor, writer, and designer who has worked with individuals, businesses, and teams across the United States as well as in England, Canada, Greece, Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, and the Netherlands.
He is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals, a board member and webmaster of a nonprofit literary press, and a business trainer working with the Institute of Corporate and Continuing Education based in Tampa, Florida. He previously was an assistant professor at The University of Tampa in the department of English and Writing and a visiting instructor at the University of South Florida where he developed the English department's first online courses using game design principles. Before obtaining his PhD in English with a specialization in Composition and Rhetoric, he was a PhD student and teacher in philosophy specializing in philosophy of science. His has published business essays, academic articles, and poetry.
